How to measure for a Kilt

Measuring for a Kilt involves 3 key measurements:




All measurements should be in Inches

1. Waist  (d measurement in diagram)

Take the measurement from where your naval/belly button is located. Measure the circumference.

Your belly should be relaxed when taking measurement

The measurement should be firm and taut. 

Provide measurement in Inches.

2. Hips/Seat  (e measurement in diagram)

Take measurement around the widest part of your buttocks, removing anything from pockets.

3. Length ( f measurement in diagram)

This is the length of the kilt.

Measurement should be taken kneeling down with back straight. Locate belly button/ naval, take measurement from there to floor.

As a guide, a standard kilt length will be 24 inches.
